About Ayla
Ayla Bela is an illustrator and graphic designer based in Brooklyn, New York. Graduating with a BFA in Illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design, one of the world’s leading art and design institutions, she has developed a body of work defined by marrying striking visuals and thoughtful storytelling.
She is a finalist in the Society of Illustrators West 60th competition, created and led nonprofit painting workshops for children with disabilities, and volunteered campaign materials to support the University of Miami's Haiti Relief Project.
As a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, Ayla draws from her experiences to create imagery that explores themes of identity, resilience, and connection. She hopes to foster a sense of community for people of all ages seeking spaces where they feel seen, supported, and empowered.
